How long did it take to rebuild London after the Blitz?
into the 80s with no help from anyone here are the facts the Marshal plan rebuilt our enemy Hamburg was rebuilt whilst london was still cleaning up the mess i know i was in Hamburg in the Early sixties whilst London still had Bombed sites Germany was paying reparation for the damage to Britain British was paying Off lend lease the Americans were Rebuilding Germany Germany had a Mercedes Benz in production the 170V in sept 1946 and was paying Britain Britain was paying the USA and the Marshal plan was rebuilding Germany it would Have been easier if the UK just gave the Money for lend lease to Germany ?????? No doubt i will get thumbs down the UK paid off lend lease in 2006 the United States gave to West Germany: USD 1,173.7 million as part of the Marshall Plan from 3 April 1948 to 30 June 1952 with at least 200 million added from 1954 to 1961, mainly via USAID.
