How long did criminals have to spend in the stocks or the pillory in Tudor times?

Yup, one of the main ‘points’ of the stocks and the pillory was that it was humiliating. People would throw rotten fruit/vegetables at you, yell at you, mock you, etc. I’m not sure how long you had to be in them, though I do know it varied according to the crime committed. I believe I’ve heard of people being in them for 12+ hours.
