How long can you great white shark survive with out food?
No one knows for sure as these sharks cannot be well kept in aquaria. Even surface monitoring of great whites will not this question for certain. Other shark species can survive for weeks without food. Given the fatty mammalian diet of some whites, it may be that they can go longer between feedings than other sharks. However, their ability to mildly control their internal temperature may actually increase their energy consumption in colder water.
