How long can we preserve NutriBird pellets? Should I keep them in the freezer?
When NutriBird is kept in a dry area at room temperature, the preservation of the ingredients is guaranteed for one year from production date. All NutriBird products have in fact an expiration date marked on the packaging. Moreover they are not packed in an ordinary paper bag, but in a special bag with a light and moisture proof inside-lining. Other producers tend to attribute a longer storage life to compensate for the time lost in shipping overseas, yet after one year the effectiveness of the vitamins present in the foods is greatly reduced. This is of course also the case when one stores the pellets in the freezer.
