How long can guppy babies be kept in a breeding trap?

It would be best to remove the female and put her in a separate tank this way see will be less stressed and no males will be there to harass her. If you do it like this make sure you provide lots of cover for the guppy fry with plants real or artificial your own personal preference, i would also have another tank set up to let the female rest in before i put her back in the main tank as giving birth is a tiring process for her condition her with frozen blood worm or brine shrimp and she should be fine. If you go for the breeding trap way i feel this puts too much stress on the female she may abort her pregnancy and could die, but if she is successful just make sure to remove her so she doesn’t eat any of the fry most guppies eat there young.
