Chlamydia can cause scarring of the fallopian tubes, and often women don’t find out until they try to start a family, and don’t fall pregnant. It can also cause pelvic imfammatory disease, which is painful, and can also scar your fallopian tubes leaving you infertile permanantly. In men sometimes it’s left undetected until their partner is diagnosed. If you think you may have it you should get tested straight away, if you are in the UK I happened to notice on the door of Boots the chemist that they give away free testing kits, your local GUM clinic can test you too aswell as your GP surgery.
