How long can animals remain in an assembly centre?
The certifying veterinarian has to certify that “the animals did not remain more than six days in the assembly centre”. This commences from the time the first animals arrive in the assembly centre. If in that period in the assembly centre calves become older than 42 days of age before export then they will have to meet the more stringent requirements for breeding and production animals over 42 days of age.
