How long can administrations last?

For the cohort test, there are two SAILS test administration sessions in each academic year, Fall and Spring. At the end of each session, data from all the schools that have finished testing are analyzed, benchmarks are created, and PDF reports generated for downloading. Institutions starting administrations in Fall may choose to continue through Spring. However, all administrations end in May. There is a testing blackout from December 15 – December 31 and June 1 – July 15 for system maintenance. For the individual scores test, tests can be administered throughout the academic year, except for blackout periods. Testing can occur from June 15 to May 30 with the exception of December 15 – December 31, when the system is offline for system maintenance.
