There are a variety of different kinds of hyperpigmentation that can be induced by chemical peels. Some are short-lived and disappear within a month; some of them can last much longer and may take 6-12 months to resolve and frankly, some of them, if they are of the scarring variety, may be permanent. It’s impossible to determine if this is the cause of your hyperpigmentation without evaluating you.
