Each tutoring session lasts 30 minutes. Thirty minutes is the most efficient time for one-on-one talking. Some students will get tired if the session lasts too long.

Our sessions are usually 2-hour per week. This allows the tutor to discuss all three SAT sections (Writing, Critical Reading, and Math) each week. Of course, we are flexible and can tutor for more or fewer hours per week if requested.

• Students can be tutored up to two hours per subject per week for a total of four hours. Students must sign a commitment statement that they will attend tutoring for the semester.

This depends on the center. In the ASC, appointments are for 50 minutes, equivalent to the college hour. The Writing Center schedules 20 minute appointments. In walk-in centers and labs, tutoring times vary from 5 to 20 minutes.
