• 3 years for gravity onsite sewage systems (consisting solely of a septic tank and a gravity drainfield – note: a pump may be used to transfer the effluent to the gravity drainfield • 1 year for alternative onsite sewage systems NOTE: For property wit an alternative system in conformance with the monitoring and maintenance requirements of these regulations, that has not been conveyed within one (1) year of issuance of the evaluation report and is still under the ownership of the same person, the Health Officer may extend the period of validity of the evaluation report up to a maximum of three years from the date of issuance of the last report.
