Basically it just depends upon when bed space opens up at the facility where he is going to go, as to how long he will be where he is. It could take up to two years or more for space to open up, or as little as a few months. There really isn’t any set amount of time for it to happen, as I have said it just depends upon when they have bed space for him. Inmates mail is always forwarded to them when they are transferred out of one facility to another. What happens is that the mail will be delivered to the unit where he is housed, if when it goes there he has already been transferred off the unit officer will write on the envelope that he has been transferred. His mail will be sent back to their mail room and they will look up where he has been sent to and put that on the envelope and have it transferred to him there.
