A harvesters’ lien must comply with article 9.5 of title 4, C.R.S. and section 1324 of the Federal Food Security Act of 1985 in order to be perfected. These liens are effective for a period of 5 years. The liens can be continued for an additional 5 years by filing a continuation statement within 6 months of the lien’s expiration date.
