How lock sample rates of external asio device and (analog) Built-in Output?

0

Hi, I’m trying to record audio through the FireWire input using OSX asio and use the MacBook’s “Built-in Output” to monitor the sound. For some reason the input and output are not locked (synced), so the data buffer is gradually filling up, resulting in increased latency, then hiccups and finally (after about an hour) an automatic buffer reset. Then the cycle restarts. Luckily this problem only affects the monitoring, the recording is fine. Is there a way to lock external digital audio and built-in analog output ? I think I’ve tried all Audio MIDI Setup options (aggregate) but that hasn’t worked. Any help is much appreciated.
