Many couples do fully resolve their issues in one intensive, but this is the exception rather than the rule. Instead, most couples make substantial progress. Couples from outside our area frequently do one intensive and then return at a later date for a second, having worked between intensives on homework Dr. Lindsay has given them. Many also do telephone sessions with Dr. Lindsay between intensives. Local couples often do one intensive and then follow it with a series of weekly or twice-weekly sessions.
