How likely is it that the costume designer from Mad Men will start her own clothing line?
The hit television show’s costume designer, Janie Bryant, has dropped a hint that she could soon be launching a clothing line. “I’m working on some things right now,” she told Glamour magazine. “I hate to be so mysterious but I can’t really say! It would have my name attached to it though.” Nominated for a Costume Designers Guild Award, Bryant also admitted that she draws inspiration for the character of Betty from her grandmother: “She had an apron for every event that matched every dress – she had cocktail aprons and everyday aprons and she designed and built her own clothes and she was just such a lady.” Sources: http://www.catwalkqueen.tv/2009/11/mad_men_costume.
