As of 2007, the last documented point-in-time homeless count, there were over 671,000 individuals homeless in America on any given night. Moreover, over 1.6 million individuals experienced homelessness at some point during that year. Put another way – 1 in every 200 persons in the United States experienced homelessness in 2007.
