The Chesapeake Bay watershed includes parts of six states: New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. It also includes all of the District of Columbia. In all, the Bay watershed encompasses approximately 64,000 square miles. That’s a lot of land draining into a very shallow Bay!
