The average residential solar PV system is less than 10kW. The size of your PV system will depend on a number of factors including how much electricity you use as well as the amount of sunlight received in your area. Of equal importance is whether or not you have a field or roof that faces south with no obstructions, such as another house, to cast shadows between the crucial hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. winter and summer.
