How is YippieMove different from imapsync?

For those of you who do not know what imapsync is, it is a popular open source tool for migrating email between two IMAP servers. imapsync is a handy tool and we actually used it as a component for our a proof-of-concept version of YippieMove. While we do embrace Open Source, sometimes the tools available just won’t cut it. That was the case for us. After running imapsync for a few week, we realized that it did not perform the way we needed it to. It consumed way too many resources and did not achieve the throughput we needed to scale. Because of that we started from scratch and wrote our own tool. Our tool is more flexible, consumes less resources and scales much better.
