How is yard waste disposed of?
Homewood Disposal picks up yard waste as part of your normal garbage collection weekly on Thursdays from April 1st through November 31st yearly. Yard waste will only be picked up if it is in either the special yard waste container rented from Homewood Disposal or in paper bio-degradable bags, NO yard waste will be collected if in plastic bags. Yard waste consists of grass clippings, leaves, and small twigs and branches. Small twigs should be placed in the paper lawn bags and small braches should be tied with string for easy handling by the garbage service personnel.
