How is Weafri supporting a positive impact on the socio-economic development of Nigeria and the Nigerian Environment?
Onyekwere: At the moment, all our personnel are Nigerians who are well trained and are able to deliver quality services to our numerous customers. These people contribute to the GDP of the nation because they are gainfully employed. We try as much as possible to ensure that we create and maintain conducive working environment for our customers and staff by providing fit for purpose equipment for customers and excellent welfare package for the staff. While that of the host communities, we try to implement our Community Relation Policy thereby having a good/cordial relationship between us and the communities that we work in. This we have achieved primarily by the employment of some of the community indigenes both skilled and unskilled labours, by carrying out some developmental projects in the communities and participating in most of their social activities. We also provide scholarship to deserving community indigenes that are qualified and meet the requirements for the scheme. Q. – Mr.
