How is WEA going to monitor accredited exporters?
WEA will regularly review the financial conditions, and activities, of accredited exporters to make sure they comply with the conditions of their accreditation. Accredited exporters are required to provide annual compliance reports and other relevant information. WEA can audit accredited companies at any time during the life of their accreditation. Whilst WEA is not an investigatory body it does have the power to request information, reports or documents from accredited exporters. Accredited exporters are required to track and report notifiable matters. These are conditions of accreditation and include the obligation to report significant changes about related bodies corporate. The company’s performance will be taken into account when WEA considers whether accreditation will be renewed, suspended or cancelled.
