How is ViaCLIX different than IPTV?
IPTV today is still about reselling premium content to users under a subscription fee, in essense pay-TV offering that compares to Cable & Satellite offerings. Another important distiction is that IPTV offerings are evolving to allow service providers to offer their service to clients over the Internet (vs. managed network). It’s important to note that this is still a pay-TV subscription. The key difference between IPTV & ViaCLIX is that ViaCLIX enables Service Operators to add InternetTV content alongside pay-TV and adding new revenue streams by giving customers the abilty to access their favorite content on the Internet using a single Set-Top Box for both traditional pay-TV and InternetTV.
