How is Uterine Cancer detected?

Curretings [scrapings from the inner lining of the uterus] and the neck of the uterus [cervix] can be examined under a microscope to detect cancer. Tissue is sometimes removed from the suspected cancer area for biopsy. Colposcope is an instrument used to examine the uterus and to identify the correct areas for taking a biopsy.
