How is US Masters Swimming organized?

0

United States Masters Swimming, Inc. provides the administrative structure for Masters swimming. However, Masters swimming is very much a grass roots organization. The country is divided into smaller groups called Local Masters Swimming Committees (LMSC). LMSC’s in turn are composed of smaller groups (clubs or teams and unaffiliated swimmers). As an individual, you may choose to join a team or club and enjoy the camaraderie and structure of the group or you may choose to remain unattached. Unattached swimmers enjoy all of the benefits of U.S. Masters Swimming membership, except they cannot compete on relays.
