How is University of Guelph for mechanical engineering?
If you’re asking about the quality of University of Guelph’s Mechanical Engineering program, then it’s hard to say. From what I understand, the Mechanical Engineering program is new to the University of Guelph – it begins in Fall 2009. Since it’s just starting out, I would say that the quality of the program would probably not be very high. The thing is that when new professors are brought in to a new program, they have to adapt their lesson plans and instruction strategies to that program’s, faculty’s, and university’s guidelines and policies. As a result, it takes at least a few years to smooth out the kinks in a newly developed program. Besides that, the University of Guelph seems to be more well known for its biological and environmental subjects; particularly its program for veterinary medicine.
