How is UniversalGiving different from other giving services?
UniversalGiving’s service is free, and we do not take a cut on donations; some giving facilitators will take a cut on donations in order to fund their own operations. Quality and trust are paramount to the UniversalGiving mission and vision. To address this important area, UniversalGiving has built a unique Quality Model to help you identify the top-performing NGOs in our global community. Aspects of our Quality Model include verification against terrorist lists imparted by the U.S. Treasury Guidelines and compliance with the Patriot Act, confirmation of EIN numbers, and verified financial information. We also review NGO track records and management teams, as well as the confirming evidence provided by the organizations’ affiliations and funders. UniversalGiving works with a Worldwide Advisory Board of international experts who recommend NGO Partners. In addition, we work closely with our partner non-profit organizations to engage them in our service.
