How is Turbo Boost different from overclocking a processor?
It is very different than overclocking. Turbo Boost technology keeps the processor within Intel’s recommended operating specifications at all times, overclocking does not. Turbo boost automatically provides the ‘turbo boost’ when your computer needs it, turns it off when you don’t. “Overclocking” a processor keeps it running beyond intel’s specs at all times thus voiding the Intel warranty and reducing the lifespan of your processor and motherboard!
