How is TripVerde’s service priced?
In each TripVerde arranged rideshare, the Driver and the Riders share the cost of the journey. Pricing depends on the number of Riders in the vehicle, the distance traveled and the frequency of travel, with longer and more frequent trips priced at a lower per-mile rate. At a minimum, our pricing structure aims to cover the cost of gas for the Driver and to provide additional incentive to the Driver and Riders to accommodate more Riders. Rates are subject to change, based on changes in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) standard mileage rate and the cost of gas. The IRS standard mileage rate of $0.0585 for 2008 is the rate used to calculate the deductible costs of operating an automobile for business purposes. TripVerde is used both for recurring trips (e.g., commuting to work) as well as one-time trips (e.g., an event).
