TRILIPIX is the first and only fibrate cholesterol medication that is FDA-approved to be used with a statin cholesterol medication to help improve all three cholesterol numbers (good cholesterol, bad cholesterol, and triglycerides). TRILIPIX is used along with diet to lower triglycerides and increase good cholesterol (HDL) in people who are at high risk of heart disease and are taking a statin medicine to control their bad cholesterol (LDL). TRILIPIX has not been shown to prevent heart attacks or stroke more than a statin alone.
