How is TrekNorth different from other schools?
TrekNorth is quite different from other schools. First of all, we are committed that every student who graduates from TrekNorth is prepared to pursue a post-secondary education. Therefore, our curriculum is based on Advanced Placement Programming, which is explained in another question. Second, as a graduation requirement, all of our students participate in our Outdoor Adventure Program (OAP), which provides travel and wilderness skill building opportunities. Finally, TrekNorth really emphasizes a sense of community – a community of students, teachers, and parents working towards a common goal with high expectations of each other is perhaps more than anything else what makes our school unique. Simply put, we work hard together and, when we’re in the wilderness, we play hard together.
