How is this report different from the information currently available on catch shares?
This report is different as it provides an in-depth performance analysis that synthesizes all available information as well as providing additional quantitative and qualitative analysis. This report provides a synthesis of published, unpublished and new data and contains a unique quantitative analysis of catch share program performance. We analyzed over 150 articles, books and reports from around the world, as well as all relevant governmental information such as fishery management plans and catch landings and value. Our study reviewed published literature and “gray literature” on catch share management.
