How is this project different than the Star Center in Rio Rancho, NM?
The proposed project will be located in the heart of Downtown Albuquerque, with direct access to both major freeways, New Mexico’s regional commuter rail line and in close proximity to the Albuquerque International Sunport. The population base with direct access to the proposed site is significantly larger than that of the Rio Rancho location. A larger population base with easy and quick access to the site translates into more potential patrons. Downtown Albuquerque has well-established urban amenities, such as dining, lodging, and entertainment options. The addition of more retail, restaurant and event space will increase the amount and range of existing options. In addition, the City of Albuquerque is currently assessing the viability process with the support of multiple independent industry consultants.
