The 1 on 1 Provider program is not a certification program and you do not have to be a health care professional to take it. The HMI course is significantly more academic, includes in-depth scientific information and assessment protocols and focuses on clinical applications. 1 on 1 Providers, unless also health care professionals, work outside of clinical settings and typically promote their HeartMath services to the general public.
