This program is being launched as an Authorized Partner program. This is a new, limited program for Cisco that fits the need for Emerging Technologies, such as Digital Media Systems, in which Cisco wants to build a qualified channel of partners, without restricting the product suite. Cisco often uses the ATP program as the primary route to market for Emerging Technologies. The ATP program strives to build a channel of partners through a very selective process, in which partners are invited to participate and the product suite is fully restricted to approved ATP partners. This new Authorized Partner program differs from the ATP program in the following ways: • It does not require a partner invitation and does not fully restrict the product suite, enabling sales by all partners that are interested in selling. • It will not count toward Cisco certification (Select, Premier, Silver, or Gold) and is not ready today for full specialization branding. • It uses web-based, nonproctored exams fo
