How is this activity helps one to identify different techniques of film production?

Once you have the name for something, you can see it. The techniques of film become a “Joshua Tree”. Ever since I attended the NPPA (National Press Photographers Association) program that led cameramen for television stations around the U.S. to develop better video by using certain techniques, I can not see the news nor any video the same. As I add more words to my vocabulary, I see so much more now. I see Joshua Trees.
