HOW IS THIGH LIFT SURGERY PERFORMED?
Thigh lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia. The procedure involves removing the redundant skin using a low transverse incision that hides within the underwear or one that is hidden within the groin crease depending on the area of the thigh being addressed. The thigh and buttock tissues are lifted and supported in this procedure to help reduce scarring. The procedure can be combined with liposuction in some patients. This is performed using the low-level laser assisted (Neira 4 L ) technique. This involves use of an external laser to help liquefy the fat prior to removal so that the tissues experience less trauma and so that healing is promoted. The reduced trauma provides for less discomfort and an earlier return to normal activities.
