How is the Willamette River Inventory being used?
The Willamette River Inventory information can inform a variety of activities including: • Updating the existing inventory, plans and programs • Setting site or area-specific restoration priorities • Developing strategies for willing-seller land acquisition • Complying with regional, state and federal regulations: Metro’s Nature in Neighborhoods Program, Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, etc. • Targeting outreach and stewardship opportunities • Monitoring watershed conditions • Aiding in site-specific project design A number of these activities are currently being addressed through the River Plan/North Reach project.
