How is the Waiver Priority determined?
The Waiver Priority order is based on the weight of draft picks lost. If a team loses out on its top priority pick, that’s worth 25 weighted points. If a team loses its 25th pick, that’s worth 1 weighted point. The team with the most total weighted points would be first in the Waiver Priority, and the team with the fewest would be last. If there is a tie for an amount of weighted points, the Waiver Priority spots are randomly assigned to those teams. Note: This method of determining the Waiver Priority was formerly offered as an alternative known as “Weighted Waivers”, but is now the default setting.
