How is the Vatican Library organized?
Today the Vatican Apostolic Library possesses one of the largest collections of manuscripts in the world, the result of its being constantly increased. However, to answer your question better, it would be right to describe the general organization of the Library. The Cardinal Librarian presides over the direction of the Library he is also Archivist and is thus responsible also for the Secret Archives and it is managed by the Prefect with the collaboration of the Vice-Prefect.
