How is the uranium mining and milling industry regulated?
The CNSC is responsible for regulating and licensing all existing and future uranium mines and milling operations in Canada. This is undertaken in accordance with the comprehensive requirements of the Nuclear Safety and Control Act (NSCA) and its related regulations, which reflect international safety standards.
