How is the total score for all stations calculated?
The total score is the average of the station scores. Candidates must achieve or exceed a minimum score to pass on this criterion. The total score criterion provides an indication that a candidate has demonstrated an overall minimal standard over a range of knowledge, skills and abilities. The total score does not provide information about specific areas of practice or functions in which a candidate may have gaps in knowledge, skills or abilities. It is therefore considered to be a “compensatory” score, because a candidate can compensate for poor scores in some station with good scores in other station.
