How is the the snake in “the tree of knowledge”…?
Actually Yes the snake is associated to knowledge and wisdom. Even in the bible it hints to this in the opening sentence of that chapter where it says the Serpent was the most suptil beast, and later in the chapter where Eve tells god that the serpent beguiled her. This implies that the serpent was wise and tricky. Actually, the serpent was the liberator and told Eve the truth that if she ate of the fruit she would not die. Of course this all comes from an earlier legend in the Sumerian tablets of creation where there were multiple gods and the snake was actually the creator god Enki and Enlil his brother was the lord of the gods that lied to Eve and told her that is she ate of the tree she would die. this is because he wanted to keep the humans as a dumb slave race.. The snake or winged serpent was Enki’s symbol and it stood for knowledge and medicine. He was only turned into an actual snake when the Jews tried to take the polytheistic story and change it to monopolistic. The serpent
