How is the termination date for IRB approval determined?
The initial expiration/termination date for a study can be no more than one year from the initial approval date. For example, a study was initially approved on April 1, 2008; therefore, its expiration/termination date can be no later than April 1, 2009. This includes studies that are approved pending contingencies.
