How is the Support Reinstatement Fee calculated?
The 25% fee is based on the MSRP of the Basic Support Contract for the particular product(s) being supported. Optional services such as 7×24 Coverage or Extended Hardware Warranties are not included in the calculation of the reinstatement fee. Example: Media Composer Adrenaline support • Support contract expired on 03/31/07 • Avid Basic Support is renewed for the coverage dates 10/01/07 through 09/30/08 • Cost of Basic Support annual contract is $1,999.00 • Reinstatement fee is $500.00 (25% of $1,999.00 Basic Support annual contract price. No incremental discount is offered.) • Total Support Contract cost: $2,499.00 Note: If the Support Contract has lapsed for less then 90 days, it may be more cost effective for customers to back-date the Avid Support contract to the prior ending date rather than incur the 25% reinstatement fee.
