There are several ways this telescope differs from the standard NexStar 8i. First and most obviously, this scope features a orange tube and a unique “Special Edition” logo. The NexStar 8i SE-SA NOW has our new SkyAlign alignment procedure and a flash upgradeable hand control. Standard accessories are slightly different, the NexStar 8i SE-SA does not ship with our NexRemote software or the RS-232 cable that is included with the standard NexStar 8i.
