How is the softwares quality assured?
The Linux community is huge, spread all over the globe. As soon as bugs are reported, there’s a virtual army of worker bees on the job correcting it. All that’s required to maintain quality is to have an organizational structure for reporting problems, testing fixes, and releasing new versions. That organization only requires a relative handful of competent, dedicated people with computers (Linux, naturally) coordinating everything.
