How is the snorkeling in Cozumel Mexico?
Hi, Well you guys will have a great time you are on the north side of the island and not far from town. There are some very good snorkeling sites to enjoy around your hotel. You will have to rent a car or jeep or pay for a taxi ride to all the snorkel sites. All the beach area in Cozumel is open to the public, the beaches are for all to enjoy. Two beach areas that come to mind are Puerto de Abrigo, Playa Azul. North of here is Punta Norte and Laguna Ciega. At the Lagoon you can rent, make sure you wheel and deal, a boat and skipper for a ride out to Pasion (Isla da la Pasion) Island. Now for heading south for snorkeling. One place you must dive is Chankanaab National Park. This location is a private beach and sea park. I think the cost is $13.00 US for the entire day. There are a number of extra costs for food , drinks, and attractions. The places we enjoy can be hard to find.
