How is the size prediction analyzed?
The combination of breeds detected in the tested dog is used in a proprietary algorithm that predicts the likely weight range the dog should reach as a mature healthy adult. This is based on the analysis of the weight profiles of hundreds of thousands of healthy purebred dogs during normal development. The predicted weight range is provided as a guide only, and the final adult weight of a dog will depend on many factors including nutrition, exercise and health status; therefore, an individual dog may lie outside of this weight range at adulthood. Your veterinarian will be able to ultimately advise whether the body condition and weight of your dog are appropriate.
